Do we really need a crystal ball to fortell how our artwork or photos will look like after being printed? 🙂
Although there might be exceptions, considering all the involved variables, the general answer should be – no. As long as we follow the basic rules for a proper colour managed workflow we should be safe and very close to the intended results. Or as the people from Cambridge in Colour put it “we usually cannot achieve a perfect match between what is printed and we saw in person or on-screen, often times we can produce a good approximation.”
